PVIX allows patients and health care providers to access and securely share vital medical information electronically through a "One Patient. One Record" platform. This means better care across our region.

What is PVIX?

PVIX (the Pioneer Valley Information Exchange) is a health information exchange (HIE) serving patients and providers across the western Mass. region. As a non-profit organization, PVIX was built by its founding members, including a collaborative community of area hospitals, healthcare providers, and medical practices to improve health care. We enable our members to deliver efficient and accurate patient care through secure technologies and empower the region's patients to get the best health care possible.

ONE PATIENT. ONE RECORD.

Delivering the highest quality and safest care requires that comprehensive information about a patient be available to patients and providers. That data often lives in different electronic health record (EHR) systems across our western Massachusetts region, as patients often see different providers at different practices.

PVIX is the hub in our community that connects the patient data from separate EHRs to achieve the “One Patient, One Record” solution for providers and more importantly, for patients. With PVIX, we can achieve electronic access to comprehensive health care information through a single, patient centric viewer and improve care across the region.

What can PVIX do for you?

Beyond western Massachusetts

PVIX is the region's connection to the statewide Massachusetts Health Information Highway (HIway), allowing us to connect to our eastern counterparts in the Commonwealth.
